I am a freelance surface pattern designer who has recently moved back to Aberdeen from London.

I graduated from The Robert Gordon University - Grays School of Art Aberdeen with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree in Textile and Surface Decoration and began working as a childrenswear designer for Matalan.

From there I moved to London where I worked as a surface pattern designer for Welwyn Lighting Designs Ltd.  This involved designing lighting for such companies as Laura Ashley, John Lewis, BHS, Homebase and B&Q and for a Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen Collection.

Welwyn Lighting Designs Ltd was subsequently taken over by Helix Lighting Ltd and I continued to expand my knowledge and expertise for this company for some time until I decided to become freelance.

I am delighted to be starting up my own business which is a long held dream and which will give me the freedom to use my passion for designing prints and patterns for use in other spheres.
